Project: Whirlyped

The Whirlyped project was started by Cabot Wade in about 1980. He is located near Williamsburg VA. Construction started in 2001 and a  few versions have been built. Carbon fiber is used. The project is active as of Jan 2007.

Latest Configuration: 2 rotors coaxial (one on top of the other), 3 ft rotor separation, 50 ft dia each, 2 blades per rotor, 50 lbs aircraft, 200 lbs pilot.
