Project: University of Colorado at Boulder (HORS)

Students at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 semesters completed a project called HORS (Highly Optimized Rotor System). As part of this project, they produced the following documents:

• Critical Design Review
• Fall Report
• Final Review
• Final Report

The objective of the project was to engineer, build and test a rotor. It was not to win the Sikorsky prize even though that served as inspiration. In that sense, the project was completed. One can hope that this work will be taken further. As of Jan 2007, the project is assumed to be inactive.
